got a line on cheap running gear out of a bronco 2,tranny ,tranfer, front end etc......how hard is a swap like this on a ranger(i used to have a s-10 but they are not worth the trouble to swap)I could probaly find a 4x4 all together but thought I'd inquire,if it's not to hard I may take a crack at it.

Well you have to swap the front frame crossmember.

Usually when this question has come up, the conclusion has been that its not worth the effort. It would be better to SAS instead.

Yep, can be done, but LOTS of work!

If you got a 3.0L, that BII trans will not bolt up either, you need a 3.0L 4x4 M5OD trans.

ok I gotta ask whats SAS ?

solid axle swap

get a jeep 44 set.....if they are still availabe....new 1500 bux for a front....redrill rear to match...

or just swap the b2 k member over. if it is an 89/90 b2 it may have a d35...if it does its worth swapping if its free or paid for

I thought SAS may have something to do with solid axle but my brain was not working on all cylinders,is there a spot on here or online that go's into some detail of this swap cause SAS is a way better swap.thanks for the info'sounds like a future project.

why would you redrill the back just curious i thought the wranglers had the same bolt pattern as our trucks, and i thought the 44 was available in the wrangler i could be wrong i aint a heep guy
