And the chop!

Not done obviously but its getting close! After the chop is done I'm probably going to make a rear bumper that will hold a spare and two jerry cans.

Looks good. When you trimmed your front fenders how did you attach the inner fenders? I will be doing the same to mine soon and thought I wouls see how others have done it. RB

Wow.... i like it. How did you make your fender chop look so clean?

I tubbed the back so I could fit the tires and as far as the front I just cut the fenders and a friend of mine had a little tool that rolled the edge. I cut most of the inner fender away, so there really isn't an issue.

You should make a canvas top for the back, like a tanneau cover that comes up the back of the cab and has a plastic section for the rear window

No need for a canvas top. I'm mounting the gate back onto the piece that it was mounted on. I'll have pics later, its kinda hard to explain. If you look in one of the chop pics you will understand what I mean. I cut the back piece off and moved it forward, then I'm cutting the gate in half and mounting it back on and will make it removable and welding in a panel underneath the half gate.

Would like to know how you mounted your lower hinge brackets. Did you have to shave the sides of the gate to get it in?

Yeah I had to trim the sides a little but not to much. The main thing I had to do was cut the mounting hardware in half. On the ranger it is sunk in where it mounts and the b2 is flat so the round part that the gate rotates on had to be cut in half. I'll try to get some pics for ya later.:icon_cheers:

I think I get your jist. After mocking up a gate on my parts truck I could see a few things that needed cutting and you hit on every one, I was thinking about.:icon_cheers:

No recent work, just got back from a long needed vacation! I'll be back at it tomorrow! And about the tubs, I made cardboard templates then just cut them out of sheetmetal and formed them and welded them. Thanks for all the compliments fellas!

I built a tool box out of the tread plate right behind the cab area there. The I'm going to get some bed liner stuff to put on the tread plate.

Put a new core support in the b today. The old one was rotted to hell so this will eliminate the body flex:icon_twisted:
