help plz wont start any ideers

ok my dad and i went from a 99 3.0 to a 00 4.0 and got every thing switch but the 3.0 wiring it all went together plug for plug but 1 that was the one for the battery and alternater

? is do we have to switch the wires or not and it is some thing else
ps we did switch the steering column for the key would match the 4.0 computer

There is a standalone PATS module that you are probably missing.

The PATS module is located behind the instrument panel, R/H side, just outboard, forward and below the passenger air bag connector.

I don't know if it is visible and accessible by laying on the floor and looking up. But that's the first thing I would do. The next thing I'd do is push the glovebox sides in and pop the door all the way out so the contents fall out. Then I'd look up, forward and right and see if you can't get to it that way.

Thanks it was above the air bag 5 bolts was all it was a little black box changed it and the 2nd turn of the key it started great
