Is the 1974 Mustang II 2.8 v6 engine and the 1985 Bronco II 2.8. V6 engine the same engines?
They are the same but most certainly different the one in the B2 uses a crappy ignition system and im sure the one in the mustang 2 is far better, but basically the technology in the M2 will be older of course.

For the most part yes, but there are some differences. I dont remember what hey are, there is a thread on here about rebuilding a motor from a 74 or 75 pinto. Try and search for it.

Best option is to deep six the 2.8. It's a horrible engine in a Bronco II.
