Hey all.

I need a program to create .pdf documents. I looked at Adobe but they looked a bit expensive.

Anyone know where I can get a program to create .pdf files at a decent price?
 
It ain't terribly user-friendly, but there is always Ghostscript. Specifically, it's ps2pdf utility.
 
What type of PDF file are you trying to create.
There are free programs that will create a PDF file from anything that you can print.
If you want to a program that has the fill in forms then the choices slim down.
 
I just want to create a document with text and pictures and save it as a pdf. I don't need fill in forms.

also primopdf is good. it is a pdf printer, so you can put any kind of picture or document and send it to the primopdf printer and can save it to file as a pdf file

ive used primopdf and cutepdf, they both work fine. ive never used openoffice for pdf's but i do use it for spreadsheets and word processing and its great. you should have no issues finding all of these for free...

awesome program that does everything microshaft office does

and the price ( free ) cant be beat
 
I hate open office with a passion. All the computers at my school now use it, and everyone has decided its worthless, so they flock to only computers that don't have it yet, and state a mortal combat like battle to use it. Many people have died.

....Not really but you get the point.

It works alright i guess. but sometimes its too smart for its own good, and does things you don't want it to.

lol, microsoft office does a boatload of things you don't want it to as well.

I have found that open office is nearly as good as and compatible with Microsoft Office 97-2003.

MS office 2007 however, is a whole different animal. once you get past the weirdness of it, it does do a whole crapload more than office 2003.

Google "pdf 995" it acts like a printer for any program and takes the information that would be normally sent to your printer and transforms it into a PDF.
