No Spark problem

i have 12 volts at the ignition coil. going into it. but no spark on any spark plug. Anyone have any ideas.. i know there could be a few things, but i everyons ideas would be helpful so i dont miss any bases.

4x4 86 Ford Ranger 2.9L
