Just wanted to say hi before I went on to post about an issue I am having with my Ranger. I have a very low (fixed) income and am hoping to learn to do the repairs on myself instead of racking up a huge mechianic bill.

My Ranger is a 1989 2.3L with A4LD, 2WD, XLT trim and not an extended cab. I got it in June of this year to replace a 2000 Dodge grand Caravan that has some serious rust issues.

This is my second Ranger and I wish I never got rid of the other one that I had.

Although I am technically inclined, I'm not that familiar with automotive mechanincs. My grandpa was a mechaninc and I did pick up a lot of thigns from him (including my love for Ford Trucks) when I was younger. When I was growing up I remember him having an '89 F250, then later an '02 F150 to replace it after the F250 got totaled by a semi truck. Sadly, my grandpa passed away in 2010 after several years of battling with Parkinson's Disease and cancer.

My best skills are working with computers and antique radios, so I'll apologize ahead of time if I wind up asking a lot of stupid questions.
