Hello to all. I recently purchased a 2005 Ranger Supercab 4x4 after driving a Mazda CX-7 for about two years. (So glad to be back in a vehicle I can actually use!!!) I was doing some research on some mods that I could do and every search engine had this forum in the top five results everytime. So I thought it would be worth my time to become a member.

Good to have ya here! Just a fore warning- If you dont know how to do something then take the time to search for what ever you're wanting to do and become pretty familiar with it before posting questions. There's been quite a few new guys asking questions that they would have easily found questions to if they searched. A bunch of the guys on here are gettin frustrated with it and are showing it lol.
 
I got that when I read the post from weezl. I maybe new to this forum but I was a member of TTORA for years (had a Tacoma) and know how this stuff works.
 
Sounds good. So what kinda mods are you lookin to do to your truck?

Nothing to radical. Mainly just getting ideas, exhaust, stereo, small lift (3" or so). I really like the blinker mod that is in the tech library. So we'll just have to see what the money (and the wife) will let me do.

There is an updated set of timing chain tensionors out for your engine. Get them and install them now. It is not hard to do and will prevent much heartburn in the future. The bank 2 unit is literally as easy as replacing a bolt. The bank 1 unit is the same, but the intake has to come off to access it.
