not to step on your toes or "burst "your bubble cuz i am not one hundred% sure but when you refer to a vehicle as being "first gen" you are refering to the body style. now correct me if i'm wrong guys but the RANGER was first offered as a FULL size truck in the mid 70's, i say this because my friends dad had a '79 ranger 4X4 FULLSIZE which would make his the first gen. yours would be 2nd gen. :icon_confused:

KINDA MAKES IT CONFUSING BUT HERE GOES, '79 i believe was the last year of the full size ranger they started the lil ranger in 1980 SO i repeat as in ANY vehicle designation car OR truck when you change body style and or size you change generation and since the 'LIL RANGER IS THE ONLY RANGER ON THE MARKET i stand by my hypothosis [ unless you guys KNOW where i can buy a brand new full size ranger

a 'full size ranger' was actually an f150 ranger. in the 70's ranger was a trim package offered on full size trucks. in 82, the 1st gen ranger came out. a totally different truck with 'ranger' as the model name, not bing a trim package

My dad's 1980 F-350 is a Ranger, its biggest, heaviest Ranger I ever did see.:dntknw:
I think it was offered across the board for F-Series trucks and Broncos in the 70s and 80s, they also had an Explorer package as well.

Crazy2.9 you should just get this thread closed or locked and start a new one or ask a mod to clean it or something. This one is full of spam, you know its bad when you get to a quarter down the page and you forget what the original post is actually about.
