I know this is probably not the right spot for this but I though I would get the most attention here.....I just came across a trans at my work and it has these codes on the tag 93GT MBA 2 D4 J 3, do these mean anything to anyone? I am about 99% sure is a A4ld.

The best way to tell if it an A4LD is look at the shape of the pan. Those numbers although you could call dealer and see if they would run them. More than likely all they are going to give is a build date and where it was built. The older A4LD's and a modulator for shifts and the newer ones had a bunch of electronic plugs on the passenger side.

It doesnt have a pan, I know its a blown trans, Im just trying to figure out if its a newer one or not. If its a newer one Im going to rebuild it or use it as a core. I should probably just post some pics...
