i have 1973 F250 with "power" steering. it consist of a power steering pump, a manual steering gear w/hydralic cylinder between pitman arm and steering knuckle. also have hydralic ram cylinder from drag link to axle. NEED to find out what year or years of trucks i can get parts from. if anything needs to be "fabricated" i have welder and torch. i know the basics of WHAT i need to do just not the years and or makes i need to borrow from and what would work the best. should also mention that i get VERY rude with my truck. ANY help y'all can give would be great:icon_confused:

Are you wanting a different setup? If so you may be able just to find a set up from an 80's full size and swap it over. I wouldn't think it'd be that complicated.

WELL ,HMMMMMMMMMMMM................. I want a system that don't leak, and since I can't find anybody locally or other wise [with an I.Q. greater than a slug] who can tell me where to get the seals and overhaul kit to rebuild my power cylinder, i want to swap what i have for updated material. I KNOW HOW TO DO THE MECHANICAL END OF THINGS and if something needs to be welded and/or fabricated i know how to do that too. As for what i want to do with it............. use yer imagination, i haven't found any situation i can;t get out of yet.....knock on wood. what i need is someone to tell me WHAT YEARS will work best for a swap so that i have an actual power steering gear, the link between the gear and knuckle and still keep the hydralic ram assist from axle to drag link
