The pigtail listed in the Duraspark swap article is not correct. The two locking tabs on echec72 are 90* off from what is needed to plug into the distributor pigtail. They could be busted off but then there is no way to lock the connectors together (which is handy for the main connector for the ignition)

I will post when I figure out what the right one is when I figure out where to source a new one, but the one shown is for sure not right.

Well that bites I suppose you can cut/file them down and see how tight it fits those clips usually break off anyway that supposedly hold them together. I got my harness out of a 84 four cyl ranger if you can find anything with a carb in the bone yard now a days.

The stupid thing cost $20, I just can't bring myself to break it.

I just can't get that wound up to drive an hour each way to the JY for a connector... I am probably going to wimp out and convert them to a generic connector.

My credo
If it doesn't fit, force it!
You could cut/file the tabs off, and then use a zip tie to hold the together, maybe not the "best" solution, but it will work and they won't come apart.

This makes absolutely no sense are you gonna be able to get that $20 back. I had a customer today complaining about the bathroom fan not taking the moisture out after taking a shower and was getting mildew. I asked how long do you leave the fan on after you take the shower. Her answer was classic she didnt leave the fan on because the light would use too much energy. My point is her fan dont take the moisture out because she dont leave it on and your truck is not running because of a couple little tabs!
