Haven't been around much but long story short, my 97 is on its last legs I feel like so I've been thinking its time to replace her.

I found a few locally, but none have quite caught my attention like this particular example, and I was hoping for some yay/nays from you guys and gals.

He has it listed for $3000, it doesn't have mileage posted so I'm waiting to hear back.

The truck in CL is sure clean !! Only you can decide if you want to spend 3k to get it-
(only a fool and his money are easily parted)

Check for rust, I think that would be the only thing keeping me from saying, "Hell yeah," and, "Talk him down."
 
it's clean..

if it's set up for 33's, what suspension lift is on it? drive it... look at tire wear.
look for oil leaks. the motor has recently been cleaned (looks like) so it might be hard to tell. sometimes when people clean up a motor its either b/c 1. they want it to look good or 2. they are hiding something.
 
and think about how much work you could do on yours for $3k... that'll buy a lot of parts. think of pros/cons for both sides.
 
Good points, the problem with mine is it's 2wd, and single cab...

Totally thought it was fake but there is a 2001 4.0 auto for $2200, 60k miles... the guy just emailed me back! Are there any typical issues with 01s to look for?
