This is what he e-mailed me on what's wrong with his vehicle:

"What about head work on a 1995 Dodge Caravan V6 3.0 engine? Motor runs but gets hot after awhile. It will push water out thru the radiator but little out the exhaust. No water in the oil. I suspect either a warped head or a blown head gasket."

What do you guys think it really is? What would be involved?

I think he's guessing. It could just be condensation out of the tailpipe and need a new thermostat and radiator flush?

He's not guessing half as much as you are....

Pushing water out the radiator means it is boiling or otherwise building pressure with gasses. That CAN cause quite a lot of damage, such as head cracks. It can certainly be a symptom of a blown water jacket. A leakdown test can tell.

This really sounds like wishful thinking. Sorry.

You're buying a minivan?

That Mitsu 3.0 is nothing but trouble. I stay as far away from them as I can.
It does sound like maybe just a plugged radiator.
The Caravan 3.3 and 3.8s are pretty good motors.
