which year body is better?

im pretty sure i want to swap a ranger body onto my 79 f150 shortbox. i was going to do a bronco ii but after more thought if i ever wanted to relocate the radiator to the rear (yes, its only a mudder) a ranger extended cab body made more sense. i was wondering which year cab would be a better swap? what has most rear passenger space? i guess i could put a b2 body on and make a super short box from same year ranger? hmmmm...whats your input, thanks.
 
Rangers rule !!! 88-89 would be my choice :icon_thumby:
 
I think the 1st gen body looks the best. 83-89
 
They all have the same amount of "passenger space" in the back. I jumpseats aren't the greatest, but I rode in the back of my 92 for a 3 hour trip once, it wasn't THAT bad.

79 F150 body beats the HELL out of a ranger body any day of the WEEK imho.

except when you're trying to squeeze through tight wooded trails, then the F150 body just gets beat. lol
 
I'd really like to see a Bll with a rear ranger cab put on it! Give it about a extra 20-24" for leg room. Use the ranger cab from the back to the pillar or even the door jam and fill in the open space where the Bll side window was. That would look sick as hell!

RICO9- yes but stretch the cab a lil bit, chop the bed and build a lil flatbed.
 
Yours is pretty dang cool too! I was thinking about doing that but I quickly realized my ideas and skills are on two totally different levels lol. I've never done any body fabrication so the first couple attempts would look like they were done by a barely functional retard lol.
 
The '93-'97 were my personal favorite.
