I have a 97 ford ranger xlt 4.0 liter V6. Im trying to find a cowl hood with t least a 2 inch rise on it in fiberglass preffered. I cant seem to find any that are in my price range. I have a 200 limit......any ideas were i can get one used or new for that price range??? also id want it in black if posible

You can always cut your exhisting hood and make one. Other than that, no, you wont find a complete hood for that price.

You're not going to find a new one for that $$$$. If you get lucky, you may find a used one.

I found new steel cowl hoods for like 270 somewhere. But thats steel and does not include shipping. I think it was on ebay, theres a link in my wanted to buy thread somewhere.

Since you are going to paint it (hopefully) what not just get a 'glass cowl scoop and have it 'glassed on and then paint it. I did this on one of my cars a few years ago. It looked so good and it was only $80.00 at the time to buy the cowl and get it 'glassed on. I bough the scoop on Ebay. I got the hood painted a few months later at Maco for $60.00 They did a good job. At least our Maco does great work in our area. They did my Baja bug 2 summers ago and it was really nice. I paid $230 out the door for the Baja bug.

Its on my list right after coils and chromo front shafts. Its only money.lol

I think a cowl hood with "4.0 OHV" decals would look tits.
