I just registerred here because I just bought my third 88 Ranger and am having problems.
The other RBV's I have had are a 91 and 92 Supercab 4.0 adn a 91 Explorer that burnt.
I am a fair mechanic, but am not really up on all the computer issues in vehicles; it was much simpler working on the 65 Mustang I had as a kid.

I forgot to add that I have horrendously slow (26.4 bps) dial-up, so posting pictures is pretty much a lost cause.
