31's on '83-'92 with 2" lift

So in the Tech Library under cheap lifts it states that with only 2" lift '83-'92 4x4 models can fit a 31X10.50R15 tire. Has anyone done this? Does the 31" tire fit without rubbing? Thought you needed closer to 4" to fit a 31 inch tire.

Been running that on my truck for the last 7 years. Works good for me.

Sounds good. I think I'll go that route til my car is paid off in a year n a half then start looking at bent beam kits, glass fenders and 33's. Are you running the stock gears? Do you have any pics of your truck?

Yea, stock 373s. It does ok wiht them, not the best tho. I have the pic in my aviator, ill try to find some more then.
