Big MAF?

I was "shopping" at my pickapart the other day and noticed that the Lincoln Mark VIII has a huge mass air and plug like on my '94 extended cab. Has anyone tried this yet? It has a round end going to the Throttle body side but a flat suface on the air cleaner side.

Wow, you have just displayed an epic lack of knowledge about how the system works.

The short version is that the size of the opening, the sample size, and the software on the computer are all a calibrated set. You can't just "put a bigger MAF on it" and get performance. You can get problems though.
