how much volume do you gain when you take out all the bends in the pipe after the muffler that brings it over the rear axle and just dump it before the rear tire.

Look on the other thread on the exhaust section. I've run throught some guy said that it's not a good ideaz to let the exhaust exit under the truck because the chimical element into the exhaust gses will accelerate the rusting process under your rig.

Not much, if any. The tubing isn't what dampens the sound. If you're looking for volume, swapping out mufflers would be your best bet.

If you want to get rid of the hump over the axle, at least do a side exit to point the exhaust out from under your pickup.

I made my exhaust exit in front of the tire and it made it a good bit louder than a rear exit.

pipe does quite exhuast down considerably, considering, if u ever run stright pip dumped under the cab versus out the back, under the cab will always be louder

under cab is louder primarily because of resonance (the sound is trapped between the cab and the ground).

you will not gain any noticeable amount of power by dumping the exhaust....only sound. i also recommend against a dump since it will cause under body components to rust out faster.

a full mendrel bent system with a larger (2.5" or so) pipe could add a few ponies....especially if combined with a set of headers.
