So i have 92' 4x4 ranger with a 4.0 lt. It keeps dieing on me, and sometimes won't start. It is almost like the fuel pump is cutting in and out. Sometimes dont here the pump kick in when i go to start it, and other times it does kick in. Also when im driving like I said, it dies on me. The only thing is, is that it will do it randomley and sometime it will try to die but doesn't. It doesn't matter if it is warmed up or not, I could drive it for three days and every thing is running fine, or it could give fits all day long. I checked all the fuel pump relay and that was fine, and the pump is only three month old.:icon_welder:

So, replace the relay.

Cheap, easy and might fix it.

Or just swap it for one just like it for free to test.

I'd also suspect the connection at the top of the tank.

Yeah I put a new relay in it last night and didn't seem to make a difference, but i might check the conection at the top of the tank. Thanks
