i bought a 98 ranger xcab 4x4 4.0engine with a 5r55e tranny. tranny wuz slipping bad. changed fluid and filter. doesnt slip now but will not go into 3rd or more overdrive gears. after startup the 2wd 4wd light on dash flashes 6 times then goes off. this happens repeatly. will not go into 4wd. od botton works fine till u drive it, the it also flashes. will any trans with the code d work in this truck. what are my potential problems. pls help thx
