blend door

Good morning, ever since my mechanic fixed my blend door issue, I have no radio, I have sirius which works fine, but my am/fm nothing, can anyone lead me through or have pictures of how to reconnect, since they must of disconnected and forgot to reconnect.

Sorry, it is a 2008 ranger 4x4 sport.

The antenna cord that plugs into the back of the radio is likely disconnected.

That's what I was thinking too. It was probably disconnected at the center connection and taken out with the dash. Check for two round cable ends by the passenger's side foot well, almost right under where the antenna is.


Or you can always go back and say "Ever since you" and he will hate you for the rest of your life.
 
Sounds like something you should have had your mechanic fix as soon as you realized it wasn't working, he obviously had the dash apart, so its obviously his fault it isn't working, I mean, if it had quit working a month after he worked on it than its just a coincidence, but in this case its something he caused.
 
Interesting...

...I have an aftermarket JVC deck in my 2008 ranger, and my heater suddenly started blowing cold air. Funny thing is that the stereo suddenly started intermittently started dropping out (frequently I might add).

I never would have thought about this being a possibility, but since the stereo is directly above the heater control I think I might pull the deck and look for some sort of damage. I figured the blend door was the problem and I started searching... and tripped upon this thread.

Thanks guys! Will post answers when I sort it out.
