fuel pump problems, please help

so i fixed all my shorted wires this week. had the dashboard out and seperated and reinsulated my wires. put everything back together and the ranger started up but then died like5 seconds after. Now i cant get the fuel pump to run when turning the key over. I have a brand new pump and fuel pump relay...

My airbag blew randomly on me one day. Will this keep the fuel pump from turning on? i have an 04 4.0 4x4.

If the air bag went off, it may shut off the pump. It "thinks" it was in a crash. There should be a reset switch somewhere......

Why it would start several days later, run for 5 seconds, then shut off.......??

Runs the fuel out of the lines, might suck a bit out of the tank, then dies.

Fuel pressure control not keeping up? If some wires got fried, maybe a relay or ? got damaged enough to not work properly.

Which airbag blew off? If it was the passenger side I agree that the inertia switch is probably the culprit. I can see the concussive force of the air bag going off that close tripping the switch.
