Hey gents, stopping in to introduce myself. My name is Aaron and I drive a 2000 Explorer XLT. Not a Ranger, but with so much of the after market being similar I figured what the heck I can learn just as much from TRS as I can anywhere else. I'm a Marine Corporal, and Iraq veteran. Currently attending college full time and trying to get out in the dirt as often as possible.

Thanks for all the great information and read, and for any help y'all may afford me in the future. :icon_cheers:

Welcome to TRS Aaron...

It's considered an RBV...Ranger based vehicle...so you should find plenty of information on the site...if not...just ask...there are operators standing by to help...lol...I mean guys with trucks that want to help...

And thanks for serving your country...you are among many active and former military personnel here...and we all appreciate that you are out there!

LOL...it was, but I was a quality monitor so I can say it passed muster...interesting link...read a bit but it seemed like military or ex military stuff...a bit extreme for me but good information...I used to be a hiker/walker but only did day trips...

I hate bugs...so anything to do with outdoor stuff has to involve bug repellant and a bug-free place to sleep...otherwise I'd just as soon skip the ordeal...

You might enjoy some of the threads on that though...there is quite an out doors following here...although I've never indulged in reading any of the threads...they are there...

x2 to what Mark said.

i also have a 2000 explorer with the SOHC, so if you need any help with anything, feel free to shoot me a PM. i've done a lot of work to it myself. being 12 years old and close to 200k, stuff is starting to need replacing. there's also many, many knowledgeable folks on the site that can be helpful.
