I've got the F6 7.5" rear axle on my truck and of course the middle spring is broken on one side and probably will shortly on the other side. My question is will the leaf springs off the explorer fit my axle? My truck is a 1992 supercab 4wd. I can get just the middle spring but figure if the explorer springs will fit then I can just get those and be done with it. Thanks for the help guys!

Does it matter what code they are? i've seen there are a couple different spring codes.

I dont believe it will make a difference except that a 2 WD Exploder (Memory failing: did they MAKE a 2WD exploder? I dont remember but I'm pretty sure they did!) may have softer springs then the 4 WD counterpart.

I got around 4 inches out of my explorer lift, but it also has an extra main leaf that adds height, and stiffens the pack a little bit. Overall I got about 6 inches in the back with that spring pack and a Belltech drop shackle. it sits about 1 inch higher in the back than in the front, and the front was lifted using a F150 coil and a 1 1/8th inch spacer.

they did make a 2wd exploder. i dont know of any difference in the springs.

i said "up to 3 inches" because thats the most ive heard of. anywhere from 1"-3" should be expected.

Use springs from a 4 door. 2 doors only have a single spring.

It's 2 door vs 4 door. Most 2 doors are 3 leaf, 4 doors are 4 leaf. Some (rare) 2 doors are mono leaf.
