So I bought a new car recently...well, new to me. It's 2001 Xterra. I love it, but the Ranger was my first truck, and I decided it was worth more to me than it would be to anyone else.

It's in great condition. Has a few minor dents, that I plan on getting fixed and I also plan on getting it repainted. But mostly, I wanted to get your thoughts on what I should do to it (modification).

I am sort of into the all-terrain look and I love this truck, but I think it looks a little goofy with the really small tires and wheels. I don't want to go overboard though. I really don't plan on taking it off road much, especially being a 2.3 2WD.

Do y'all have any ideas of what I should do? Maybe a lift of some sort with a slight bigger wheel and tire? How big can I fit while keeping everything else stock or maybe the washer lift or whatever it is. I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to lifts and wheel sizes. Please understand that I will be working on a new professional's budget with lots of student loans to pay off.

Here's the truck:

I've got a '94 splash 4.0. I basically have 2 inches of lift with the factory blocks in the rear and 2 inch spacers under the coils. I easily clear 31x10.50. It has a nice stance if you ask me, but I may be bias.

Wow! Yours looks nice from what I can tell in the small picture. I see that yours is a 4x4 though. Is there a difference in the stock height of a 4x4 vs a 4x2? I thought I had read that the 4x2 sits a little lower, but I may be wrong. I wish I had the 4.0 in mine...those little trucks are pretty quick. Thanks for the help, by the way.
