hope im doing this right, Just figurin out this site but looking to see if anyone else had an answer for me on this question. I have an 08 4cyl lowered 5/5ish with djm and canuck motorsports, and on heavy acceleration i get a grinding noise under the cab, thinking its the driveshaft being a hair long after the drop, probably going to go 7 in the rear with a c but want to make sure this isnt going to make it worse, theres no signs of a ring around the shaft or anything so im pretty sure it isn't hitting anything. has anyone else experienced this noise or problem?

Welcome to the forums...Brampton Ontario??? That would be a Canadian...lol

Can't see dropping the body affecting the drive shaft unless you flipped the spring holders...and I'd imagine that would result in constant grinding...

But since I have no experience with the newer Rangers and no experience with dropping one I'd have to say my inexperience leaves much to be desired...

You mentioned hard acceleration...do you mean that it doesn't grind under normal load?

Maybe a clearance issue with the tires??? Post some pics if you can...might help to understand the issue better...

will do. have to get that photo bucket thing going. I'm starting to think that having the weight in the bed during the winter may be creating a funny flex thats putting a load on the universal joint, going to get under the truck tuesday night and see if anything looks worn.....
