I've heard that Eaton is coming out with a selectable for the D35. Does this rumor hold any water? And if so when is it coming out? Thanks.

Bumping this back up. I've got all the parts ready to install in my D35 except the diff. I'd really like a selectable up front but know that the Auburn has its downfalls. Anybody heard any word on it?

I haven't heard anything about it myself, although I haven't really been paying attention either.

I'd go ARB up front, but that's just me.

dont go with a elec... locker they get wet your #ucked, go with arb air locker they are the best.

I'd like to but... How does the compressor hold up to cold weather? Does the moisture in the lines freeze and cause problems? Or is there a drier built into the average compressor units?

I've been reading about the OX lockers. Are they really as beefy as they claim on their website? Is there any clunking at all associated with these? I mean absolutely any because I'm anal about that. If it made a slight noise going from coast to load it would annoy the hell outta me. Also, are they tough to get locked in? Do you have to get the mechanism into a perfect spot in order to pull on the shifter?

The OX would require extensive custom modification to the front of the axlebeam, and to the OX's diff cover.
I've heard of several problems with stubborn or inop shifters on them too, yes.

As for the ARB and problems with moisture and freezing weather, I can't comment on that myself being in So. Calif, but I would think with as widespread as they are in use, someone would've had that problem by now, but I haven't seen anyone comment about it (moisture shouldn't get into the air lines anyway, as long as the air solenoids are not at the bottom of the compressor tank).

Something I've noticed, the small ARB tank dissipates it's pressure slowly over a few days, It seems that's enough to keep water from accumulating in there (the moisture evaporates and is expelled out with the air).

i have been up wheeling alot this winter, 4 of the rigs had arb air lockers, 3 feet of snow on the ground and 20f no one has ever had a problem, they said its the BEST part they haver ever spent money on, no soise, perfect. they are a chunk of money but well werth it.
