Hey all, I used to have a '92 Ranger about 10 years ago. Sold it and I really wish I hadn't. Anyway, I found a '97 Ranger XLT Super Cab that I'm going to look at tomorrow. It's 2.3L 5-speed. I just had a few questions for those in the know.
First, what options does the XLT package include for this year?
Second, and more importantly, what specific issues should I look out for on this model? I'm aware of the busted rear shackle issue that a lot of Rangers have had, but what else if anything in particular should I look for before buying?
