Well, finally found a truck I want. It needs work, which I wanted, it already has a 302, which is what I wanted, so looks like if no one buys it before Sunday it's mine! Pics below.

yup, driver side floor has a bit of surface rust, and a bit rusted right through.
engine needs a rebuild, and while im working on that might as well drop in a 5 speed standard (its currently a 4 speed auto)

comes with extra rear end and extra gas tank. $1100.
not a bad price imo as long as the frame is solid. The body looks to be in great shape. other then it needs a good wash lol

Yep! Perfect candidate!

Figure pull the engine/trans have em rebuilt, while they're out, clean everything up nice, fix any body issues, etc. then drop freshly rebuilt engine/trans back in!

It perfect cause all the mounts and troubleshooting of a swap is already done haha

He's been driving it for 4 years with no issues so it must be all good.

I also notice that it has an upgraded brake booster and/or mater cylinder in it too.

I am not sure when they started doing that but I think it was later in the first generations reign. My '86 parts truck had one.

Mine has one just like it but being an '85 it ain't supposed to.

Yeah the guy was working on it but was in an accident or something and is on disability and he cant physically work on it anymore so he has to get rid of it.

I dunno about that. Looks awful factory to me. The Rangers got the plastic reservoir at the same time they got EFI.
