Yesterday on our 5 states in 1 day ride, we just left Texas. Our group is riding at the posted speed limit of 70 mph in the right hand lane. This stupid drunk bitch in the left lane passing us at about 5 mph faster than we're going, veered off into the median, overcorrected, came within inches of hitting my buddy Jason in the ass end (I was riding in front of jason) but missed him thankfully.
The guy riding behind Jason saw the truck slide sideways in front of him & nailed the brakes. When he hit the truck, he was only doing about 5 mph thankfully. He got a gash in his right shin from the bumper of the truck. He's very lucky. We had 13 bikes in formation, she coulda taken out alot more riders. Considering what could've happened, it turned out pretty good.
I've always hated drunk drivers & I still hate 'em.
Stupid bitch was crying when she got arrested...............what a shame. I hear New Mexico has some pretty tough DUI laws.............I hope so.
I have zero sympathy for drunk drivers

As a Logistical Technician (truck driver) I agree with you. As the sole provider of a family of 5 I think the first DUI conviction should result in a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years (10 if injuries were caused).

I am glad they are starting to crack down on DUI, up here in Canada your first offence is a automatic licence suspension of 6 months i believe then your second offence is one year and third they throw you in jail.

As a Truck Driver, I'm sure you've seen way more incidents of drunks causing accidents than I ever have. I agree on your mandatory sentencing, make it overkill & there might? be less incidents (at least while they're locked up).

It was almost 4:30 pm. Turns out, she lives in Clayton & drives the 10 miles to Texline to drink in a bar there. This is her third DUI offense but the first one that caused an accident. She was driving with revoked license (from prior offenses) & she has no insurance so his ins will have to foot the bill & go after her. They probably won't get anything, she doesn't even have a pot to piss in according to the Sherrif. Now, she needs to be locked up..........or she'll just continue to drive drunk regardless of a valid drivers license or not.
Glad to hear you're ok, could had been a lot worse. Stupid bitch.
You said it

Wow. Glad you're OK. Some drunk driver killed my boss a few years back. Drove into his lane, he didn't have a chance. Dead on the scene. The woman driving had her 5 year old in the backseat. Had killed someone before while driving drunk. I'm tired of seeing this happen.

Yo,
Yeah man good to hear it wasn't worse. As a biker who has laid mine down on the freeway, its not pretty. You develop an eye of who to watch for. Elderly, cell phone users, and some others i won't mention here.

in MOST states a DUI involving an
accident with an injury is automatic jail time,
even if it were a "first offense".

Thanks for the comments :icon_thumby: He was at work today, limping a little but good to go otherwise. He's in good spirits & hopes his bike will be repaired before riding season is gone around here.
Looks like he's gonna have a battle on his hands trying to get anything out of her because her insurance expired last month. He just wants the ambulance ride, hospital visits, & his bike repaired by her. He's not looking for anything extra, just for her to step up to the plate financially but she doesn't even have a pot to piss in. Looks like he'll have to turn it in to his insurance & pay his deductable for now.
Oh yeah, I agree on the "Sheriff Joe" comments :D
Oh man so glad no one got hurt!
Why'd you change your name?

Maybe your friend can try to get her truck as payment. Go to small claims court and get a judgement. Then put a lein on her chebby truck,, that is if the state doesn't take it.

Dumb bitch. She looked pretty good wearing those new bracelets courtesy of the TX DPS.
That guy is a member of an oranganized police organization? With those jeans, I figured him for part of a sheriff's posse or maybe a lynch mob. It being Texas and all.
Drunk driver= roadside execution. Leave the corpse for the coyotes. I know people can't control themselves. Honestly, it's not her fault for being weak. We all have our personal level of strength in dealing with our demons. But if she isn't put into permanent confinement she'll do it again and eventually kill someone. Right there everyone did everything but the dying.
Blaming people is a waste of time. It leads to releasing them again so they can do it again. It's best to recognize that THAT particular organism needs to never be able to drive again.
Will's solution:
Drunk driver's lose the ability to own or operate a vehicle ever again. Anyone who owns a vehicle that a second offender is caught in loses the vehicle and gets 30 days hard labor scraping mashed armadillos off of those Texas highways. Second offender themselves get 10 years of hard labor making cheap little crap to sell back to China.
