Where is a good place to look for tubes to make a bumper? I know vehicles but not tubing. I may have someone to make it but would like to have an idea of material cost first.

Thanks for any replies! :icon_welder:

i'm probably making part of my bumper from sch 40 crap you buy at home depot or lowes. metal around raleigh is ridiculously priced. i had to buy 20' of 2x2x.250 for $150 to make my radius arms. still cheaper than buying duff or skyjacker arms, but DAMN

Mcmaster Carr is worth a check sometimes. I'd buy anything from them before I bought something from the likes of Home depot. Even Summit has a selection of round tube, and even some square stuff, mostly thin stuff and definitely a little high, but I have bought from them in a pinch. Check them out- link

Um, I used 1.5 DOM. It was cheap, free.

DOM for everything, don't skimp

:dunno: Completely unnecessary. All my body armor (sliders, bumpers) is all ATSM Sched 40 pipe. It is actually a lot more dent resistant than tube is in these instances. Even then I wouldn't waste my money on DOM for bumpers...HREW or CREW is perfect.

1.5" DOM here is $1.20 an inch....

well DOM is a lot cheaper here and for my purposes I wouldn't buy anything different
