my 2002 ranger edge, the fan heat/ac only works when I have it cranked up all the way ...1,2,3 nothing comes out, but 4 really pumps it...whats the problem? resistor or what?

probably...not sure about how they are setup on 2002 but my 88 (and other peoples') experience the same thing...the resistor is shot and you need to change it most likely...if you see wires running into the heater box that's probably where the resistor is located (as it is on earlier models)...
