How Common are These?

I've never seen or heard of a later model explorer equipped with a 5 spd until today. Are these common or was it some kind of special order deal?

'02 was the one and only year for that bodystyle to have a manual, fairly rare.

If it has the 1 year, odd-ball, only 1000 made, 26 spline clutch w/ dual-mass flywheel, then Yes its rare.

RSH came up with one of those a while back. Thought maybe it was a South America thing.

This makes me want it even more!!! if The price goes down to around 4k-4.k I'll be all over it haha. It said that only 1000 were made with the 26 spline clutch, but more were made with the 23 spline?? If thats true I hope it has the 23 spline just for the sake of parts availability.

The vast majority of RBVs have used the same 23 spline clutch. It's one of the things that makes some of the part swapping we do so easy.

I know!!! If the price goes down enough, I might be to find a buyer for my truck cuz I listed it a while back but decided not to sell it.
