I'm going to ohm my coil packs, altho I know that may or may not be a reliable indicator of a problem.

Have read that going to one of the Accel coil packs improves power and mileage a little.

Anyone tried them?

I thought I'd maybe get one just for the ignition / exhaust side as I've read the intake side is just to reduce emissions.

Not looking to make a hot rod out of it, but improved mileage and a little better torque going up hills on the highway pulling my bike trailer would be nice.

I wouldn't bother, the stock coil packs are actually pretty decent if they are working right, I'm using one stock coil pack on a turbo engine...

Your best bet for power on a 2.3 is to just use 4th gear on hills. Peak power is at around 4600rpm and you could run the engine there all day every day and it won't care... Back when my truck was stock I got best mileage cruising between 2500rpm and 3000rpm and shifted all the time at 4-5000rpm.
