hy guys I've been working on my b2 at my school in my extra time, and I'm trying to get the motor out, i tried unbolting it from the bell housing but i couldn't get the torque converter to turn. so now i am attempting the separate the trans from the t-case but it just won't budge. everything is unbolted but i just can't get them to separate, can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

thanks, Nik

To get the t-case off, first make sure that you took out FIVE bolts. Then apply slight pressure with a floor jack, try some gentle taps with a dead blow. That should break it free and you should be able to slide it off the output shaft. As far as the TC, make sure the trans is in neutral and the starter is not engaged/frozen, if you havn't already.

Did you unbolt the bell housing before you tried to unbolt the converter?

That is a no-no. It makes the engine not turn over too well.
