So I was going to check my oil today in my ranger, take the stick out, then go to put it back in, and it wouldn't go all the way back in. I've tried turning and positioning it every way possible. I've never had a problem with this before. It's got a 302 in it.

And with my head lights, about 2 months ago, one morning my head lights wouldn't turn on. The high beams still work, marker and signal lights still work. I've checked the fuses, the wiring to the back of the head lights themselves. I went out and bought 2 new head lights, and they worked again. This problem just happened again tonite. Any ideas on why this might be happening ?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Check the plugs on the headlights, sometimes the individual slots the prongs slide in wear out and get a little bigger. If need be, squeeze the prongs a little so they hold the prongs on. You might be able to get away with just wiggling the plug.

The same thing has happened to me a few times.
