The only place that sells metal is at least 45 mins away from me, and ordering online is expensive as all hell, so I am waiting to find some scrap metal so I can make a new bumper(rear) like you. Good luck man! Post some pics when you get to it.

I get my metal for $.50/lb for steel which is very nice :). The scrap yard by me has a very good selection usually.

That's always nice to have a place that's close to you and cheap.

From what I can tell looks great! Got any close ups of the welds? What kind of welding process are you using?

I actually am suprised on how it came or coming together. The welds aren't that great but they get the job done haha. And I'm using a mig welder.

:icon_surprised:

jesus.... that thing is ugly. :thefinger:
you should see it in person....i cleaned it up after christmas to work on the frame......

pulled the bed off

looked at it.....the area of intended repair....

looked at everything thats fawked up...

locked garage

and went to detroit :icon_rofl:

fawk it...when i get back next month maybe it will sicken me less:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

but one thing, i have some tool boxes i am working on that could be setup similarly to work with this headache rack and option ya a way to haul ladders and stock overhead if your boxsides are still stout...it will be a bit though before i can work on them. i have most of the metal, just need time. basically just bedside boxes.
