98 Ranger 4x4 3.0/Automatic Fuse Location

Hi. Could someone tell me how many fuses and location of are associated with engaging the transfer case. transfer case not engaging. Have 4 hi/lo lights flashing on startup and wanted to check fuses before taking the shift motor off. Thanks very much

Sounds like the GEM, maybe. These 4wd systems have a few issues. Friend of mine got one in his shop, and ended up doing a manual shift conversion + manual hubs. Was $370 for the shifter alone, but it looks nice and works very well. These are made to order, he doesn't keep stock on hand due to selling so very few. If you had the older style like mine, I could help you troubleshoot more, but I am not familiar with the systems that don't have a separate module.
