We used to have a link in the TRS Fab & Offroad section that had the nessecary mounts and whatnot for a 5.0/5.8 swap.... anyone know what happened to it? Or am I just looking right over it and not even realizing it?

Regardless I'm trying to find a V8 swap motor mount kit if anyone knows where to locate them.

I think someone told me that "James Duff" had them.

Explorer mounts work awesome for the '93+ Rangers. Did in my case anyway.

I don't have a 5.0 Explorer to use as a donor though, plus I have no idea where the local junkers are.

The mounts still should be easily adapted to fit if you can come up with a set.

thanks :D

I'm itchin to tear into the 302 and start rebuilding it... really hoping it'll turn out like I want it to, hopefully better, but I shouldn't get my hopes up, lol

Now that I think about it, anyone know what kind of numbers a stock '84 302 generates?

210hp, 230 ft/lbs 'ish for a typical 5.0. GT40P heads with an intake might get 220-225 and 250 ftlbs or so.

I'll fix that in a hurry :D

Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, intake, carb, and cam ftw, lol

I got curious though and started poking around on google, found a chart that said the typical 1984 5.0 only made 165-175 horses and like ~245 ft/lbs.... that can't possibly be right can it? my 4.0 nearly makes that....

Sadly that could be entirely true - I do recall seeing some pitiful numbers for earlier SB's like that... if that is the case, the heads, intake, cam, etc would put you around 220ish I would imagine.
