I've read the tech article and like what I see. Think I'm going to pull the trigger myself this summer. My question is, the article shows the leafs being re-arched. Is that necessary? I've searched the forum and read alot of the threads about the subject but nobody really says if they had to re-arch the leafs. Can someone clarify please. Thank you

Put a set on my Toyota. Did need more arch, not enough droop to drop the wheels into whoops, ended up skipping off of bumps due to lack of travel. I found leafs from an old "race" pack that had a ton of arch and slipped in two leafs per side to get the needed arch.

Picture is of them first installed

That is a sweet tech link! Think my shop is getting a new tool!!

Any idea how far you can arch a spring before it gets damaged?

I have un-arched 64in leafs on my ranger and the shackles wont even droop down. The leafs have to be arched to achieve more down travel. Otherwise it is basically useless.
