Lately I've had something bouncing around in my head. Knowing that the ranger is getting killed off in just a couple weeks, how will that affect us, the loyal owners of rangers?

Will parts jump or drop in price?

Will our trucks blue book values jump or drop in value?

How long will it be before these imminent changes be before it starts to change?
 
Who really cares?? I don't. There will always be a Ranger on the road and there will always be a Ranger for sale. Just 'cause Ford stopped making them for the USA don't mean they will vanish.........

+1. Now I'm seeing more and more Gen I through IV's looking like trash so way down the road they may add value as they get few and far between. Course there are a ton more Rangers here than S-10's and Dakotas. Rangers even out number Tacos here (and I'm not counting delivery vehicles either. LOL)

Maybe in 20 years or so if ya have a cherry looking Gen I thru III you may get a good price. I plan on getting planted in one so I can either drive it on a cloud or run Satan's ass over with it! :icon_hornsup:

I would imagine it's the exact same thing as when an automaker completely redesigns a vehicle and the new model has no interchangable parts with the old one. I don't see it affecting parts prices at all.

I don't think Kelley Blue Book gives a damn that its discontinued. Whether people will be willing to pay more than book value or not, I couldn't say.
