article I found

I know a few people who stuffed V8's in their BII's. No big deal, Rangers and Mazda B series as well, no big deal as well. Some people love them with the power of a V8, and some wish they never did it. It just cost more and more for upkeep and maintenance and caused other issues with axle issues. You have to upgrade everything due to the power and torque a good V8 puts out. Just expect to upgrade more of the vehical and you will be a-ok!!!! I think that white BII looks great!!!

Two more plugs is a small price to pay for upkeep on such a rig. Mine takes the same amount of oil and even the same filter as my 2.8. I can see where tire wear may also be affected though... :icon_confused:

Even with the stock powertrain the factory axles can be a hinderance depending on tire size and how it is driven.

The guy is asking too much for it, $4250 is way too much for a vehicle that needs the rear main fixed and a goofy idle. For that much money IMO it should be turn-key perfect. And honestly... there are not a ton of people around there. That hurts too. It is a very clean truck though, I would take it. Not sure why they are picking on it so bad though...
