I have a 2002 4wd ford ranger edge that i want to do a coil spring conversion on. I plan on keeping my factory ifs but i want to replace the torsion bars with coil springs. I know the rcd lift kit does this, but i want the conversion without the lift. what would be the best way to convert it. Can i just buy the conversion kit from rcd or do you think i could take the coil spring brackets off of a xlt and mount them in place of the torsion bars? If so what would be the best way to remove the torsion bars and mount the coil springs. and if that wont work is there any other way i can convert it? Keep in mind i want to keep my stock ifs so no axle swaps.

2WD XLT coils I can't see working, the axleshaft would be in the way of the coil.
You'd be best just getting the RCD kit. The coilover shocks they use IIRC are pretty expensive to buy already, and they wouldn't fit without the lift anyway.
