I posted this under general discussions and got no results, so I'll try here.

I have a 6" lift with 33's. I have wheeled some with no interferance problems. I need to paint the fenders and I don't want to have to repair rubbing damage later on. Like I say my tires have never contacted the sheetmetal. I'm thinking I should trim an inch or so off the rear of the front wheel well, what do you think? It would be cool not having to trim anything unless I really have too. I did trim a little off the front bumper. Thanks

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
If your not rubbing, why would you notch it? Are you gonna run it harder after paint?
Pound the snot out of it and enjoy it! If it rubs, cut it off!

I'd much rather fix it before I paint it. That way I'm not driving a rig that looks like a piece of shit.

Pull the coils out and cycle your suspension to see if anything hits. You might need some new bumpstops if you don't want to do anymore cutting.

Cycle your suspension like on a ramp...I use any handy drainage ditch to cross it up and then measure. Remember to put it in gear and set the e-brake. Looks fine except I'd trim the bumper a bit more so that when it gets bent wheeling, it's not rubbing the tire.
