Possible engine swap

I have a 99 ranger with a 3.0 and manual transmission. It is also 2wd. I am having some trouble with the engine and was wanting to know how difficult it would be to swap in a 302 with a manual transmission. I know that if I pull an engine from an explorer the swap is fairly easy but I want a manual transmission. So which engine transmission combination should I look for?
 
There are versions of the M5OD that fit a 5.0, there is also a wide selection of Tremec tannies that fit it. An M5OD-R2 or a T-5 would be your best bet.


Although your absolute bet bet is to drop down to the V-8 swap section and ask there, those guys are in the know on V8 stuff.

ok, thanks for the reply. I was looking for an engine and transmission combo that was in a vehicle so that the computer and wiring will be easier to convert. Also how do I move this thread to the v-8 section.
 
Find a mod (someone with a username in red) and ask them to move it for you.


ZMan and fastpakr are kicking around somewhere. They are both mods. If you jump back to the main list and scroll to the bottom it lists everyone who is on right now.
