Another broken flexplate

This is the third one. They start to crack around the engine mount location. I checked the crankshaft spacer. Am I missing something or have I found the weak spot in my setup?

88 BII 2.9 4.10 gears 31x10.5 mud tires

are you lining up the torque converter ? buy this i mean not forcing the bolts through the plate the should just slide right through.
 
Ford has a new replacement for this defective part but their prices is a bit to much. The older flexplate OEM are flawed.
Transmission parts USA has stronger ones for about $25.00. You got to call them up and ask for it, it's not listed on their web site.
