Tossed up between G2 and Ford Racing gears for my 8.8 Im building....Ford racing ones are a little cheaper, but I dont recall knowing anyone who runs them. How well would these stand up to a locker and 33/35" tires over the G2 ones?
 
well the if you want to go 35's id grab a for 9".

i run strange, i believe (bought the axle off a member here) but all have quality control and warranty. set them up right, and neither will fail you.
 
Doubt I'll ever run 33s but was just curious. Im building an exploder disc 8.8 so it's a little stronger than the 8.8 I have now. I should be fine. Just curious about the reviews of ford racing gears.
 
Same here, I've heard nothing bad about Ford Racing gears either.

G2 is Genuine Gear, I think? I'm not sure about the G2 line, but their non-G2 stuff has had bad reports all over the place.

Yukon, Nitro, Motive, and US Gear (Strange) are all good brands.

I've heard great reviews on the G2 line of gears (Im going 4.56)

I might just splurge the extra $80 for the Yukon gears, you cant go wrong with them.

g2's are the answer.

their warranty and customer service is TOP NOTCH.
 
I have the FRP 3.55's in my Mustang. I've abused the hell out of them, and never had issue one.
