Outer spindle seal?? Part #??

Anybody got a part# for this seal that sits on the outside of the spindle.It's about 3 1/2 inches out to out, it's a 96 ranger with a D35. Local parts store is tryin to give me the inner seal for the spindle bearing.
 
You mean the wheel bearing grease seal that pounds into the back of rotor and seals to the spindle?
 
No not the wheel seal. This on sits on the spindle shaft and the rotor goes up against it. Kinda looks like it's to keep water/crap from getting to the inner wheel bearing. I'll see if I can get a pic of the old one.
 
What you are describing is a wheel seal.
 
Sounds like you have the same goofy 2-piece wheel bearing seals my '97 had. A seal in the rotor and another dust seal that presses onto the spindle and rides against the other seal. The best thing you can do is toss them and forget you ever had them.
 
^What kind of bullshit hacked together POS do you drive? Dont listen to that shit JJ. Go to the parts store and get the proper seal. They're there for a REASON or Ford wouldnt have put them there.
 
This is definetily not a wheel seal, I've installed the new wheel seal already when I repacked the wheel bearings. Im thinkin I'll just use the old ones even though they look a little worn. But I'll keep looking for new ones, Maybe I'll try the dealership.
